Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.
Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.
Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels' stronghold in San Francisco where she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

| Review: 4/5 stars This was a very different book from usual. I liked it. I know the next one is gonna be better. It was actually pretty scary for me. I would read and night and think - maybe I should turn on the lights for this chapter. It was a very dark take on heavenly beings. Most angels I've read about are here to help. This one is completely different. So if you are looking for something cute this is not it! I enjoyed the main characters. I felt as if the story was rushed at some parts. I think if it was a little bit longer I would have been better. Some of the characters were odd but I think they helped make the book. Her mom is a different topic. This should be added to your read ASAP list. I can't wait for the next book! |
